Helpful Exam Tips 

 

       Passing the CPA exam may be difficult, but not impossible.  It requires the discipline of study and proper management of time.  The CPA exam covers volumes of FASBs under the new Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) and AICPA standards given in multiple choice questions and problem solving formats.   They have also added International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) to provide more options on the exam.  No subject is exempt.  Passing the exam now requires help.  Here are some helpful tips.

 

1.  A general understanding of the material will not help you pass the exam.

 

2.  You should have a detailed understanding of the accounting concepts and standards.

 

3.  You will be asked to answer multiple choice questions, solve problems, use spreadsheets, and perform data search on ASC and AICPA standards.  As well as, be familiar with IFRS standards.

 

4.  A regime of study is required..

 

5.  Call us to help you plan, organize and understand the material.

 

6.   Don't schedule the exam until you are ready.

 

7.   Visit the exam site prior to test date to help you estimate travel time.

 

8.   Schedule an appointment with us weeks prior to taking the exam for a pre-exam review.

 

9.    Be sure to arrive at the exam site early on test date.

 

10.  Passing the exam does not require luck.  But, instead the discpline of study.
